Field Marketing Roles – Enterprise SaaS Company

Dynatrace is a global, publicly traded provider of an enterprise software intelligence platform that optimizes application management, IT infrastructure, and user experience for a variety of industries. Its products have long been highly rated by customers and industry analysts, such as Gartner and Forrester.

The Challenge

In Q4 2021, Dynatrace entered a period of aggressive growth, planning to increase revenue 2X over a 2-3 year timeframe. To achieve this goal, it needed to expand its field marketing team.

The company’s Talent Acquisition team was spread thin, recruiting for numerous global openings across job functions. An expert marketing recruitment partner was needed to help fill these high-priority field marketing roles.

Beyond strong enterprise tech field marketing experience, there were other key candidate requirements, including:

  • compliance with the company’s COVID-19 vaccination policy and willingness to travel to one of the company’s offices on a monthly or quarterly basis
  • residence in specific locations across the US & Canada

Dyantrace was at substantial risk of not meeting its growth goals without a recruitment partner who knew marketing skill sets inside and out, moved quickly, and could position the company as an employer of choice in a highly competitive talent market.

The Solution

We tapped our deep network of technology marketers while also developing and implementing a highly-targeted, multi-step recruiting campaign to engage large numbers of suitable candidates. In a job market where candidates were receiving multiple messages from recruiters each day, our outreach tactics and messaging were effectively designed to rise above the noise.

We worked closely with several Dynatrace marketing leaders and owned each step of the hiring process, from candidate sourcing; screening; interview coordination, prep, and debrief; salary negotiations; and counter-offer prep, allowing Dynatrace’s TA team to focus on other priorities.

The Results

Vetted sourced an average of 250 candidates for multiple field marketing roles, including a key field position covering the Canadian market.

These targeted recruitment efforts resulted in two senior field marketing hires, including the high-visibility Canadian position, earning kudos from Dynatrace’s Director of North American Marketing.
